On 26 June, Ruslan Suynaliev, Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic, met with Leslie Vigeri, US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Kyrgyzstan.
During the talks, the parties reviewed issues of bilateral cooperation in the financial and economic sphere, including the fight against money laundering and the financing of terrorism, as well as Kyrgyzstan’s preparations for the third round of the Eurasian Assessment.
In addition, the participants discussed cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, measures to strengthen the country’s financial stability, and the prospects for attracting long-term investment through the development of the domestic government securities market.
Following the talks, the parties reaffirmed their readiness to further expand cooperation and implement joint initiatives in the economic and financial spheres.
