The parties discussed important issues related to increasing the throughput capacity of border crossing points, exchanging data on risks and offences, joint analysis of trade information, and expanding the application of the ‘green corridor’ mechanism.
An agreement was reached on the phased transition of Chinese border crossing points to the Torugart and Irkeshtam border crossing points to a 24/7 operating mode.
At the first stage, it is planned to organise a corresponding review of the work of the border crossing point on the Chinese side, located near the Irkeshtam border crossing point.
Special attention was paid to the digitalisation of procedures, the exchange of experience within the framework of the ‘smart customs’ concept, and the development of border infrastructure.
In order to promptly resolve emerging issues, the parties confirmed their readiness to hold online meetings on topical issues of cooperation.
