Kyrgyzstan and the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China have identified priority areas for economic cooperation

A meeting between Deputy Minister of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic Sanzhar Bolotov and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China He Zhongyu took place at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The parties discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation and identified four priority areas: agriculture, green energy, trade and tourism.

Deputy Minister Sanzhar Bolotov emphasised the Kyrgyz Republic's interest in expanding economic ties with the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. He noted the country's high export, tourism and industrial potential, as well as the steady growth of the construction sector.

Following the talks, the parties expressed their readiness to intensify dialogue and start implementing specific joint initiatives aimed at strengthening practical cooperation.
