11/20/2025, 11:01On the sidelines of the CAREC Business Forum in Bishkek, the ministers of economy of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan discussed ways to increase bilateral trade and expand investment cooperation.
Bakyt Sydykov and Laziz Kudratov noted the strategic goal of bringing mutual trade turnover to $2 billion. During the talks, the parties discussed joint projects in industry, transport logistics, agriculture, and energy, as well as the preparation of measures to intensify business contacts.
It should be noted that earlier, in 2024, trade turnover between the countries amounted to $846.4 million, while in January-August this year, Kyrgyzstan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries amounted to $1.7 billion.
