Kyrgyzstan will not take the EU to court. The Cabinet of Ministers commented on Amangeldiev's interview in the FT

The Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic considers it necessary to clarify the recent publication in the Financial Times, which mentioned the possibility of taking legal action against the European Union in the event of sanctions being imposed.

During an interview with First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev, a hypothetical scenario concerning potential sanctions was discussed. The position of the Government, as reflected in this conversation, is that the Kyrgyz Republic does not intend and is not preparing to initiate any legal proceedings against the European Union.

The position of the Kyrgyz Republic remains consistent and unchanged. The Kyrgyz Republic acts in full compliance with national legislation, its international obligations and the norms of international law. Issues of export control and compliance with sanctions regimes are resolved through coordination and dialogue with international partners.

In contacts with representatives of the European Union, discussions focus on transparency of procedures, exchange of information and further strengthening of regulatory mechanisms. Legal or confrontational measures are not part of our approach.

The Kyrgyz Republic is committed to constructive partnership with the European Union and to resolving any issues that arise within the established legal and diplomatic mechanisms.

The Cabinet of Ministers confirms that the Kyrgyz Republic does not intend and is not preparing to take legal action against the EU in connection with sanctions against Russia.
