Kyrgyzstan Outpaces Kazakhstan in Industrial Growth

In January-September 2024, the volume of industrial production in the EAEU increased by 4.4% compared to the same period last year.

The volume of production in manufacturing industries increased:

  • Electricity supply grew by 7.7%,
  • Gas supply, steam, and air conditioning increased by 3.6%,
  • Water supply, sewage systems, and waste collection and distribution control rose by 0.6%.

A decrease in production was recorded in mining and quarrying industries, with a drop of 0.4%.

Industrial production growth in January-September 2024 was observed in all member states. The highest increase was in Armenia — 12.6%, Belarus — 6.4%, Russia — 4.4%, Kazakhstan — 3.1%, and Kyrgyzstan — 4.2%.
