Kyrgyzstan discusses customs reforms with the Eurasian Economic Commission

First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Daniyar Amangeldiev held a meeting with Ruslan Davydov, Minister for Customs Cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). During the meeting, the parties discussed key issues of customs regulation in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

Ruslan Davydov presented a report on the work done on behalf of the heads of government of the EAEU countries. The discussion focused on proposals to modernise the infrastructure of border crossing points in order to create comfortable conditions for participants in foreign economic activity.

Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that the elimination of barriers through digitalisation and integration of processes is a priority. He stressed Kyrgyzstan's success in modernising checkpoints on the EAEU external border and introducing a ‘single window’ system to simplify foreign trade operations.

In turn, Ruslan Davydov noted Kyrgyzstan's progress in the digitalisation of customs processes, in particular through the introduction of the Smart Bazhi information system.

The parties also discussed the implementation of the agreement on the use of navigation seals for tracking transport in the EAEU and other relevant topics in the field of customs co-operation.

Both sides stressed the importance of open dialogue and coordinated efforts to further strengthen integration and create favourable conditions for business in the region.
