02/04/2026, 16:53Following Kyrgyzstan's official approval to export Kyrgyz honey to European Union member states, experts led by Adilet Sotovaldiyev, Director of the Veterinary, Livestock Development, Pastures and Feed Service, held a meeting with honey producers in the republic.
During the meeting, they discussed the development of a further roadmap for exports, increasing the potential of Kyrgyz honey on the European market, and the production of high-quality products.
The European Commission has authorised the export of Kyrgyz honey and included it in the list of technical regulations governing imports into the European Union.
The opening of the European market was made possible thanks to the systematic work of the Veterinary Service, the Development of Animal Husbandry, Pastures and Feed Department under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic, together with colleagues from the European Union.
This decision opens up new opportunities for domestic beekeepers and honey producers: export volumes are increasing, the competitiveness of Kyrgyz products on the international market is improving, and conditions are being created for entering new markets.
According to the service, work to expand the list of livestock products authorised for export to the European Union will continue. This will allow Kyrgyz producers to gradually expand their presence in the European market and strengthen the country's position as a reliable supplier of quality products.
