Kyrgyzstan increased imports of time switches with clock mechanism

In January-October 2024, Kyrgyzstan significantly increased imports of time switches with clock mechanism, used in various devices for automation and time management, such as clocks, lighting and household appliances. According to the National Statistical Committee, 11.5 thousand units were imported, which is 23 times more than in the same period of 2023 (493 units). The total value of imports amounted to $54.3 thousand, which is also significantly higher than last year's figure of $13.2 thousand.

The main supplier of temporary switches for Kyrgyzstan was China, which supplied 11.3 thousand units worth $43.2 thousand. Significant supplies also came from Mexico - 139 units worth $10.3 thousand, while Turkey supplied 1 unit worth $200. Indonesia continued to be a major player despite the decline in shipments, shipping 68 units in 2023 for $3.9 thousand.

Although China remains the main supplier, the increase in imports from Mexico and Turkey underscores the diversification of supply and Kyrgyzstan's expanding trade ties with other countries.
