Kyrgyzstan ranked among the top five countries in the world in terms of GDP growth in 2024

According to IMF data, Kyrgyzstan showed one of the highest rates of real GDP growth in the world at the end of 2024.

In Bishkek, Yntymak Ordo, on 11 November 2025, First Deputy Prime Minister Daniyar Amangeldiev met with Subir Lall, Deputy Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department of the International Monetary Fund.

The parties discussed the macroeconomic situation in the country, the results of the IMF's short-term mission and prospects for further cooperation to support sustainable economic growth. Amangeldiev noted that the average annual GDP growth rate over the past three years was 9.0%, and in the first ten months of 2025 it reached 10%.

Among the key infrastructure projects, he highlighted the construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the Kambarata HPP-1, the Barskoon-Bedel motorway and the affordable housing programme.

Subir Lall emphasised the importance of the reforms being carried out, the stability of the banking system and the growth of the country's export potential. He noted that ‘Kyrgyzstan has become one of the world leaders in terms of real GDP growth’ and confirmed the IMF's readiness to continue providing analytical and advisory support to strengthen macroeconomic stability.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue exchanging expert assessments and working together on practical steps for the inclusive development of Kyrgyzstan's economy.
