01/03/2025, 09:00In January-September 2024, foreign direct investment in Kyrgyzstan increased by 14.1% and amounted to $747 million. This is $529.4 million more than the outflow of funds. Such data is provided by the National Statistics Committee.
Most of the investments are directed to manufacturing, trade, mining and financial services. Exploration, manufacturing and trade received more investments, while mining and financial services received less.
The main investors were China, Turkey, the Netherlands, Cyprus and Germany. China invested in manufacturing, exploration and trade, while Turkey invested in mining and manufacturing.
In addition, investment inflows from CIS countries have increased, especially from Russia, Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan. Bishkek and several provinces of the country have seen the largest increase in investment.
