A Chinese company may build a vaccine production plant in the Kyrgyz Republic

The Head of the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry Bakyt Torobaev, met with Liu Yanlin, Chairman of Yangling Jinhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd. They discussed cooperation in agriculture and biotechnology, including the launch of a plant for producing vaccines against foot-and-mouth disease in Kyrgyzstan.

The project includes full provision of the production cycle from cattle breeding and fattening to vaccination and slaughterhouse. During the discussion, the parties noted the importance of the project's implementation for strengthening the country's veterinary security and ensuring domestic demand for high-quality vaccines, which will significantly reduce the risks of spreading infectious diseases among farm animals.

Liu Yanlin emphasised the willingness of Yangling Jinhai Biotechnology Co., Ltd to invest in the construction of the plant, transfer advanced technologies and train local specialists.
The two sides agreed to continue negotiations on specific stages of project implementation, and a working group establishment to coordinate further steps.

It is expected that the launch of the plant will contribute to the development of domestic livestock breeding and open new markets for vaccine supplies to EAEU countries and neighbouring countries.
