09/24/2025, 15:42A meeting was held at Bishkek City Hall between Deputy Mayor Nurgazy Kurmanbekov and a delegation from the South Korean company EcoMotion, led by Chairman Kang Jong-won.
The main topic of discussion was a project to reduce air pollution and introduce high-voltage technologies (HVPS) at the Bishkek Thermal Power Plant. These solutions are aimed at improving dust collection efficiency and energy conservation.
EcoMotion specialises in the development of air purification technologies and electrostatic precipitators, and also conducts research in the energy sector. As part of the cooperation, it is planned to prepare a preliminary feasibility study for the project, including an assessment of the performance of existing systems, modelling of the effectiveness of new technologies and recommendations for government agencies.
Following the meeting, the city council and EcoMotion signed a memorandum of understanding, which will form the basis for further steps. The initiative is being implemented as part of the Knowledge Sharing Programme (KSP) and supports the city's ‘Clean Air – Bishkek’ programme.
