01/16/2026, 13:59According to data from the National Statistics Committee, residents of Kyrgyzstan help their relatives financially in different ways. The highest expenditure on material assistance in 2024 was recorded in the Naryn region, with an average of 506.99 KGS per person per month.
This is followed by the Talas region — 231.66 KGS, the Batken region — 220.10 KGS, the Issyk-Kul region — 202.89 KGS, and the city of Osh — 171.18 KGS.
The average for the country is 82.69 KGS per month.
According to the National Statistics Committee, the lowest amounts are in the Osh region – 5.17 KGS, the Jalal-Abad region – 4.32 KGS, and Bishkek – 7.74 KGS.
However, the figures themselves do not indicate who loves their relatives more or less. In Kyrgyzstan, family support remains the norm in all regions. The difference in indicators can be explained by income levels, the form of assistance, the number of dependents, labour migration, and the fact that some support is provided in kind rather than in cash.
