06/05/2025, 10:15Based on the results of its operations in 2024, Kumtor Gold Company has decided to pay $150 million in dividends to Kyrgyzaltyn. This is stated in the company's annual report.
It should be noted that this is $1.3 million less than a year earlier, when the amount of payments amounted to $151.3 million, and even earlier (in 2022), the mine transferred $140 million to Kyrgyzaltyn.
Thus, after the complete transfer to Kyrgyzstan at the end of July 2022, Kumtor paid more than $440 million in dividends alone. By comparison, from 2010 to 2021, Kyrgyzstan received only $101.7 million in share income from Canada's Centera Gold Inc.
In addition, Kumtor paid $184.8 million, or more than 16 billion KGS, to the budget in 2024 in taxes, social contributions, and other mandatory payments.
