07/30/2025, 11:18The 5th meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation was held in Islamabad. The Kyrgyz delegation was led by Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baysalov.
During the meeting, the participants discussed ways to expand bilateral partnership, implement previously reached agreements, and establish direct business ties between entrepreneurs of the two countries in various sectors.
Following the meeting, an important document was signed: Almaz Kayyrbekov, Director of the State Agency “Center for Halal Industry Development,” and representatives of the Pakistan Halal Authority signed a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation in the field of halal trade.
The document provides for the reduction of technical barriers to the sale of halal products, mutual recognition of certification systems, and the creation of favorable conditions for deepening economic ties between Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan.
