New Opportunities for Kyrgyz Exporters: Strengthened Cooperation with Uzbekistan

On January 3, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation between the Trade Mission of the Kyrgyz Republic in Uzbekistan and Food City Tashkent was signed in Tashkent. The agreement is aimed at strengthening trade and economic ties between the countries and facilitating the entry of Kyrgyz exporters to the Uzbek market.

Under the memorandum, Kyrgyz entrepreneurs will be provided with free of charge trade places and warehouses on the territory of Food City Tashkent. There will also be regular fairs where producers will be able to present their products, establish direct contacts with importers and conclude long-term contracts. This will reduce logistics costs and increase the efficiency of supplies.

The Uzbek side pledged to facilitate the establishment of contacts between Kyrgyz producers and Uzbek importers. The conclusion of this agreement opens new opportunities for expanding the presence of Kyrgyz products in the Uzbek market and strengthening cooperation between the countries.
