12/04/2025, 08:39On 2 December, Bishkek hosted the Korea-Central Asia Energy Week international forum, where the parties agreed on joint projects in the field of renewable energy and smart energy systems.
As part of the forum, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, the government of Naju City and the Energy Valley Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EVEDI). The document includes plans to expand cooperation in the areas of low-carbon technologies, renewable energy sources and smart energy systems, as well as the training of highly specialised professionals.
The parties agreed to exchange experience between companies, organise joint research, educational programmes and specialised events. The signing of the agreement was an important step in the formation of modern approaches to energy and opens up new opportunities for Kyrgyzstan to transition to a green economy.
