Kyrgyzstan will purchase two more airplanes next year

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic Akylbek Zhaparov at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh presented the prospects for the development of transport corridors and aviation industry.

He reported that over the past three years in Kyrgyzstan, 2 thousand 399.5 kilometers of public roads, including remote rural areas, have been repaired.

Special attention was paid to the prospects of construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railroad. In June, an agreement was signed on the construction of the railroad in Beijing and an office of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Railroad Company was opened in Bishkek. Kyrgyzstan has allocated $14 million for the project. The length of the new route from China to Europe will be 5 thousand 470 kilometers, which is much shorter than other international routes.

Work is underway to open alternative transportation routes, including the Southern Transport Corridor. The first pilot truck convoy along the Pakistan-China-Kyrgyzstan route has also been launched to improve access to Persian Gulf ports.

Zhaparov noted successes in the aviation sector, including the activities of Manas International Airport. Two airplanes for Asman Airlines and one Beechcraft airplane for Airkey G were purchased with its own funds. At present, one more airplane is being purchased, and next year it is planned to purchase two additional aircraft.
