09/28/2026, 12:28The Mailuu-Sui Electric Lamp Factory is diversifying its production: instead of incandescent bulbs, it will now manufacture LEDs and glass containers. The first batch of new products is scheduled for production in October–November, and the new production lines are expected to create over 450 jobs.
According to Asem Zhusupov, deputy director of the industrial park, production of LED lamps will reach up to 30 million units per year when operating in two shifts. The estimated production cost of a single lamp is 45–50 KGS. It is planned to employ over 200 people in this sector.
A further 250-plus staff will be able to work in glassware production. The factory is already producing bottles for mineral water and alcoholic drinks, as well as tins for preserving food.
However, the shift towards these new areas has already had an impact on the workforce: more than half of the former employees have lost their jobs. The company expects to begin staff training at the end of October. The expected average salary for the new production lines will be 35,000–40,000 KGS.
In addition to launching new production lines, the industrial park intends to attract investors. In particular, a partnership with a metal manufacturing company is already planned.
