The new equipment will be used, amongst others, by staff working in mountainous and hard-to-reach forest areas.
Tablets equipped with GPS, geolocation and specialised applications will enable the rapid recording of forest conditions and the detection of illegal logging, fires, poaching and other offences.
For raids and operations in hard-to-reach areas, the service has also received a JAC vehicle, an excavator and a JAC T9 pick-up. The vehicles will be used to transport staff, fire-fighting equipment and planting material.
