    MEGA strengthens 3G and 4G connectivity in Kyrgyzstan - now even more speed and stability

    State-owned mobile operator MEGA is actively continuing to expand and modernise its network across the country. As part of a large-scale programme to improve the quality of communication and coverage, the company upgrades equipment introduces advanced technologies and expands the service territory in the most remote corners of Kyrgyzstan.

    The company's main goal is to provide high-speed Internet and reliable voice communication both in large cities and rural areas. Modern solutions make it possible to significantly increase data transfer speeds, which is especially important for users who need stable and fast internet for work, study or entertainment.

    Technical works carried out in September 2024 have improved signal quality and increased the capacity of 2G/3G/4G networks in all regions of Kyrgyzstan.

    Modernisation of base stations significantly increased 4G capacity in Bishkek, Osh, Karakol and Kara-Kul. The quality of communication and mobile Internet quality of the fourth-generation network in the following villages has also been improved:

    Osh region: Zhar-Bashi, Akchal, Kojo-Aryk.
    Talas oblast: Ak-Zhar and Zhyide.
    Issyk-Kul oblast: Zhalgyz-Oryuk, Ala-Bash, Svetlaya Polyana.
    Jalal-Abad oblast: Ak-Terek (Arstanbab ail/district), Ak-Terek village (Talduu-Bulak ail/district), Ak-Tyt, Bazar-Korgon, Baimunduz, Beshik-Jon, Zharake, Zhon.
    Batken oblast: Ai-Kol, im. Chapaev (Gordoy).
    Chui oblast: Gavrilovka and Gidrostroitel.
    Naryn oblast: Kyzyl-Seok and Sary-Bulun.

    The 3G network signal was improved in Bishkek, Osh and Kara-Kul cities, as well as in Gavrilovka and Gidrostroitel villages of Chui oblast due to base stations upgrading.

    MEGA base stations of the 2G network were modernised in Bishkek, Cholpon-Ata and Karakol cities, as well as in villages:

    Batken oblast: Ai-Kol, im. Chapaev (Gordoy), Alga, Jenish.
    Osh oblast: Zhar-Bashi.
    Chui Oblast: Chetindi, Sokuluk (Sokuluk ail/district).
    Naryn oblast: Kyzyl-Emgek, Bazar-Turuk.
    Issyk-Kul oblast: Zhalgyz-Oryuk and Svetlaya Polyana.
    Jalal-Abad oblast: Ak-Terek (Arstanbab ail/district), Ak-Terek (Talduu-Bulak ail/district), Ak-Tyt.

    A new 4G standard base was installed in Chon-Dobo village of the Zhumagal district of the Naryn region.
