Mayor Aibek Junushaliev has inspected the Bishkek bus station's state and conditions for passengers

In Bishkek, Mayor Aibek Junushaliev jointly with city services has inspected bus stations to assess the current work and conditions at these facilities. The first visit was to the territory of the Bishkek bus station, which operates in normal mode and serves both international and intercity, regional and suburban routes. Routes to the Naryn and Issyk-Kul regions now depart from the new bus station at Alma-Atinskaya, 1/1.

There are modern rest capsules for drivers and tourists, unique for Kyrgyzstan, public toilets and showers, and fast food outlets. In addition, passenger transportation by electric vehicles was organised with fares significantly more favourable compared to other companies providing taxi services. The head of the Sverdlovsk district was instructed to establish special and constant control over the work of this bus station.

Junushaliyev also ordered to clear certain areas of illegal retail outlets and other unauthorised objects. It is important to note that buses of routes #13 and #34, as well as minibuses #123 and #128 run to the new bus station. The next inspection point was the temporarily functioning Western bus station near the future Ak-Kula hippodrome, from which routes to Osh, Batken, Jalal-Abad and Talas are operated.

Here, measures are also being taken to ensure the full operation of the temporary bus station until the completion of the new one, which will be located near the multifunctional market complex on Y. Fuchika Street. The lighting has already been installed and trading outlets have been moved from the old Western bus station, and the premises for the dispatching service and ticket office.

The mayor ordered the Bishkekvodokanal to lay water supply networks promptly. Sheds and other light structures for temporary accommodation will also be moved from the old Western bus station territory. Bus routes №13 and №40, as well as minibus route № 258 are now available to the future Ak-Kula Hippodrome.
