The Mayor of Bishkek urged the city transportation drivers to observe traffic rules

In the municipal enterprise “Bishkek City Transport” a meeting dedicated to the topic of safety on roads was held. Mayor Aibek Junushaliev took part in the discussion. In light of recent accidents involving new buses, he emphasized the importance of observing traffic rules.

The head of the capital remarked the municipal public transport drivers for the increasing number of road accidents involving new buses and traffic violations.

"With President Sadyr Zhaparov's support, 1 thousand new buses have been purchased for Bishkek. Here there is also a question of our citizens' safety. What will happen if you hit someone or harm someone's health? Our policy today is the same for everyone - to follow the law and the rules,” Aibek Junushaliyev added.

He noted the basic requirement for the drivers of municipal buses is strict compliance with the Rules of the Road.

30 MP “Bishkek City Transport” drivers will be fired for gross violations of traffic rules, i.e. driving into the oncoming traffic lane, driving through a prohibited traffic signal, passengers falling inside the bus, and other grave violations.

Also, five simulators have been installed at the enterprise to ensure that drivers systematically train on them and improve their skills.
The Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development of the Mayor's Office has been tasked to strengthen compliance with traffic rules by drivers.
