03/10/2026, 09:48The volume of remittances from Russia to Kyrgyzstan increased significantly in 2025. According to statistics on cross-border transfers by individuals, $3.23 billion was received from Russia, compared to $2.78 billion in 2024.
Thus, over the year, the volume of transfers grew by $448 million, or almost 16%.
Russia remains a key source of remittances for Kyrgyzstan. It accounts for the bulk of inflows from CIS countries. Overall, the inflow of funds from CIS countries in 2025 amounted to $3.29 billion.
The total volume of remittances from individuals to Kyrgyzstan reached $3.49 billion at the end of 2025, which also exceeds the 2024 figure ($2.99 billion).
The growth in remittances is traditionally linked to an increase in the income of migrant workers. For the Kyrgyz economy, such inflows remain one of the key sources of support for consumer demand.
