Now applicants can instantly find out the current status of their application via Telegram-bot, simply by entering the number indicated in the certificate from the Central Office. This service eliminates the need to visit the Central Office, which reduces the load on the centres and saves time for citizens.
It is noted that last year about 14 thousand foreigners, including ethnic Kyrgyz, applied for citizenship of the Kyrgyz Republic. The new service reflects the government's course on services' digitalisation, improving accessibility and convenience for the population.
Also, since October 2023, service centres for foreign citizens have been operating in Bishkek and Osh, where it is possible to apply for citizenship, obtain a ‘Meken card’, residence permit and other services with minimal waiting time.
