06/28/2025, 09:38Bakyt Sydykov, Minister of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic, has signed an Agreement with the Government of the People's Republic of China to launch a project for the delivery of 370 units of specialized equipment aimed at serving the Water Resources Service.
This service operates under the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic (hereinafter referred to as the Water Resources Service). The signing took place as a part of the economic and technical cooperation between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Government of China. The agreement stipulates that the equipment will be handed over to a division of the Water Resources Service.
The total value of the project is estimated at 148.9 million yuan. This initiative is expected to significantly strengthen the material and technical base of the Water Resources Service, enhancing the efficient operation and maintenance of the country's irrigation infrastructure. The project is being implemented as part of grant aid from the Government of the People's Republic of China.
The document was signed on behalf of China by Liu Jiangping, Vice Chair of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference. The Ministry of Economy and Commerce of the Kyrgyz Republic views this Agreement as a pivotal contribution toward developing a sustainable water management system in the country and further solidifying the Kyrgyz-Chinese partnership.
