The Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Migration and the Kyrgyz National University named after Zhusup Balasagyn signed a memorandum on cooperation in the field of employment promotion and training of competitive personnel.

The document was signed by Minister of Labour Ravshanbek Sabirov and Rector of KNU Dogdurbek Chontoyev. The purpose of the agreement is to join efforts for the development of vocational education system taking into account the needs of the labour market, improving the quality of training and creating conditions for the employment of graduates.

The parties agreed to implement joint educational and research programmes, organise student internships and work placements, as well as to hold lectures, seminars and job fairs. Among the priorities are the development of innovative projects, exchange of experience and involvement of students in monitoring employment programmes in the regions.

«The co-operation between the Ministry and KNU is aimed at forming a sustainable mechanism of interaction between the state and education. This will be an effective tool in training qualified specialists for the country's economy», — said Ravshanbek Sabirov.
