The Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and the IMF discuss reform of the wage system

The Kyrgyz authorities, together with the International Monetary Fund , are preparing a reform of public sector wages to increase transparency and optimize spending.

A meeting between the Minister of Finance of the Kyrgyz Republic and a delegation from the International Monetary Fund took place in the Kyrgyz capital.

The main topic of the talks was the reform of the civil service pay system, a step that should make budget spending more efficient and public sector salaries more fair and transparent.

The parties discussed new financing mechanisms, principles for optimizing expenditures, and modernizing the social security system. Particular attention was paid to the need for a phased introduction of changes to the regulatory framework to ensure that the reforms proceed smoothly.

Representatives of relevant agencies took part in the discussion, presenting analytical findings and recommendations on adapting reforms in cooperation with international partners.
