    Naryn-1 substation is modernised

A large-scale modernisation of the Naryn-1 substation, a key link in the region's energy system, was performed in the Naryn region of Kyrgyzstan. The work focused on upgrading the backup power supply system, which significantly improved the reliability of the power supply to consumers. The press service of the Ministry of Energy reported.

At the  110/35/10 kV ‘Naryn-1’ substation, belonging to the Naryn enterprise of electric networks - a branch of JSC ‘NESK’, batteries were replaced. Outdated lead-acid batteries installed in 2007 had exhausted their resource and could no longer guarantee stable operation in modern conditions. They were replaced by modern batteries of 5ORzS-250 type, characterised by increased capacity, longer service life and resistance to high loads.

In addition to replacing the batteries themselves, their charging systems were also modernised. Outdated rectifier units VAZP 1 and VAZP 2 gave way to modern charging and feeding devices ZPU-3. The new equipment ensures more accurate and efficient charging, which helps to extend the battery service life and increases the system's overall reliability.
