06/18/2025, 12:46The second Central Asia-China Industrial and Investment Cooperation Forum was held in Astana, with our country's Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry participating as part of the official delegation.
The main goal of the forum was to develop and strengthen economic ties between Central Asian countries and China, attract mutual investments, create joint ventures and promote cooperation projects in strategic sectors of the region's economy.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies and leading business circles of Central Asian countries and China, including heads of industry departments, as well as major entrepreneurs and investors interested in expanding interregional cooperation.
During the official part of the forum, Samat Nasirdinov, Deputy Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, delivered an opening speech in which he noted Kyrgyzstan's readiness to deepen economic cooperation with China and countries in the region.
Particular attention was paid to investment partnerships in the agro-industrial complex, energy, logistics and digital technologies. The Deputy Minister emphasised that large-scale reforms are being carried out in the country to improve the business climate and create favourable conditions for investors, including tax preferences and infrastructure support for priority projects.
During the panel session, the ministry presented eight investment projects and five promising areas for the development of Kyrgyzstan's agro-industrial complex, with a total value of around $200 million. Proposals were made to establish modern poultry farms, process agricultural products, develop livestock breeding, seed production and feed resources. Kyrgyzstan reaffirmed its openness to dialogue with investors and its commitment to creating favourable conditions for joint projects in the agricultural sector.
