01/14/2026, 10:53At the end of 2025, the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange (KSE) recorded a sharp increase in trading activity compared to 2024. The market showed acceleration in almost all key indicators, indicating increased interest in the stock exchange among issuers and investors.
The total trading volume on the KSE in 2025 reached 219.5 billion KGS, while in 2024 this figure stood at 107.4 billion KGS. Thus, the annual growth in turnover exceeded 104%.
This growth was driven by both an increase in the number of transactions and an expansion in the volume of securities placements.
In 2025, 2,338 transactions were concluded on the exchange. This is 505 transactions more than a year earlier (1,833 transactions).
The number of securities traded increased from 25.1 billion in 2024 to 28.8 billion in 2025. This indicates an expansion of market supply and growth in the turnover of instruments.
The primary market remained the key source of growth. The trading volume on it in 2025 reached 209.9 billion KGS. This is more than twice the 2024 figure (101.1 billion KGS). Thus, it was new placements and primary issues of securities that formed the bulk of the exchange turnover.
Activity on the secondary market also increased, albeit at a more moderate pace.
In 2025, the trading volume on the secondary market amounted to 9.6 billion KGS, compared to 6.3 billion KGS a year earlier. The growth was about 52%.
At the same time, more than 90% of all transactions were accounted for by trading in securities listed on the exchange. Trading volume in 2025 grew to 200.4 billion KGS, compared to 91.8 billion KGS a year earlier. In fact, turnover in this segment increased more than 2.1 times.
