Asphalt laying has begun on the northern bypass road

Work has begun in Bishkek on laying asphalt on the northern bypass road as part of its large-scale reconstruction. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport and Communications.

The total length of the bypass road is 33.4 kilometers. This year, it is planned to complete asphalting on 15 kilometers, including sections of the Almaty-Bishkek-Tashkent (6 kilometers) and Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart (9.1 kilometers) highways.

Over 150 pieces of specialized equipment are involved in the reconstruction of the six-lane highway.

Due to the high traffic load, the road surface is being renewed in stages, one lane at a time.
