09/04/2025, 16:55Following allegations of bribery by employees of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, the head of the Chatkal Forestry Enterprise of the Forestry Service, B.M.O., was detained.
On 1 September 2025, during the course of operational and investigative activities, B.M.O. was detained red-handed while receiving a bribe in the amount of 5 million soms from a citizen of the Kyrgyz Republic, J.U.A., director of Altyn Belgi LLC.
It was established that B.M.O., abusing his official position, extorted the specified amount for the unhindered continuation of the activities of Altyn Belgi LLC Altyn Belgi LLC to continue gold mining in the Chon-Zhayik area of the Chatkal district of the Jalal-Abad region, threatening otherwise with the seizure of property and the creation of artificial obstacles by state authorities.
The detainee has been placed in the GKNB detention centre. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated and the necessary investigative actions are being carried out.
