10/03/2024, 09:52Citizens have faced a serious problem related to the forgery of their signatures and illegal registration as individual entrepreneurs in 2020-2021. MP Dastan Bekeshev informed it.
Companies were opened in their names, through which export-import operations were carried out. As a result, they have significant debts to the tax authorities.
‘The affected citizens appealed to various instances, and the SCNS initiated criminal proceedings. The court recognised the signature forgery and ruled their registration as individual entrepreneurs was illegal. However, the tax authorities are still demanding payment of debts incurred as a result of fraudulent actions ', he said.
The situation is complicated by the absence of a clearly defined procedure for deregistration of individual entrepreneur status, preventing the affected citizens from removing legal responsibility for false activity.
"At the moment, new amendments to the Tax Code are being discussed, but their number (more than 100) raises concerns that entrepreneurs and citizens simply do not have time to keep up with the changes. With the constantly changing legislation, legal and tax consultants continue to benefit from the current situation, while ordinary citizens face additional difficulties in interacting with tax authorities and paying taxes,’ Bekeshev said.
