The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and CertiK are to collaborate in the field of digital asset security

The National Bank of Kyrgyzstan and the international company CertiK have signed a memorandum of understanding. The parties plan to exchange expertise in the fields of cybersecurity, blockchain technology and digital assets.

The document was signed on 9 September during a meeting between Sanjar Abdygaziev, a member of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan’s Board, and representatives of CertiK — a company specialising in the security of blockchain projects and digital assets.

The cooperation will cover several areas:

• the security of digital assets and blockchain infrastructure;
• risk monitoring and assessment;
• compliance;
• and combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism in the digital assets sector.

The parties also intend to hold consultations and working meetings, exchange international experience and expert knowledge, and explore possible joint initiatives.

The National Bank emphasised that the memorandum is of a framework nature and lays the foundations for further professional cooperation with CertiK.
