12/02/2024, 10:18The National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic in order to popularise the oral folk art, preservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Kyrgyz people from today introduces into circulation a gold collector's coin «Aikkol Manas».
One of the most important symbols of the spiritual heritage of the Kyrgyz people is the epic «Manas», which occupies a special place in the world treasury of oral folk art.
The epic tells the story of the life and campaigns of the great warrior Manas, who possessed boundless courage and united all Kyrgyz tribes in the name of independence of their native lands, freedom of their people and political unity.
The main plot of the obverse side of the coin «Aikkol Manas» is the image of the hero Manas, dressed in armour and riding on his war horse Akkule on the background of snow-white mountains Ala-Too. In the upper part of the coin there is an inscription «Aikol Manas / Aikol Manas», in the right part of the coin there is a metal proof (Au 999) and weight of the coin (15.55 g). In the lower part of the coin is indicated the nominal value of the coin (200) and the graphical sign of the catfish (C).
The reverse side of the coin bears the coat of arms of Kyrgyzstan framed by stylised images of national ornaments symbolising Kyrgyz warriors. On the circumference of the coin there is an inscription «Kyrgyz Republicsynynyn Uluttuk Banky / National Bank of the Kyrgyz Republic». At the bottom of the coin indicates the year of issue of the coin ‘2024’.
Collector's coin «Aikkol Manas» has the status of official means of payment in the territory of Kyrgyzstan.
Collector's coin is placed in an acrylic capsule and packed in a separate case with a certificate of quality.
Realisation of the collector's coin is carried out at a price of 123 thousand 400 soms in the cash offices of the National Bank on working days from 9:00 to 14:00 h., as well as through the website for the sale of numismatic values.
