The programme provides for the automation of supervisory processes and the use of artificial intelligence, machine learning and big data. As part of SupTech, the National Bank plans to expand data collection and analysis, introduce electronic licensing and automate a number of procedures.
It also envisages the creation of a corporate data management system, the development of staff’s digital skills and the strengthening of the regulator’s cyber resilience.
Particular attention is being paid to the banking sector. Digital tools are to be used in banks’ interactions with the National Bank, including in relation to licensing and monitoring compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing requirements.
As part of the programme, it is planned to establish uniform digital standards for the integration of supervised organisations’ information systems with the National Bank’s infrastructure.
The concept and roadmap were approved by a resolution of the National Bank’s Board on 16 September 2026.
