    The National Investment Agency and the General Prosecutor's Office of the Kyrgyz Republic discussed investor protection issues

    According to the NAI press service, on September 25, 2024, the National Investment Agency met with the General Prosecutor's Office representatives. The meeting was attended by officers of the Department of the General Prosecutor's Office for Supervision of the Observance of Entrepreneurs' Rights and Laws in Ecology, and employees of the National Agency's structural units.  

    Deputy Director of the National Agency Damir Bikulov and representative of the General Prosecutor's Office Midin Turmanov discussed plans for bilateral cooperation in implementing the Kyrgyz Republic legislation on investors and subjects of investment activity protection.

    During the meeting, Bikulov talked about the implementation of the procedure for investor complaints consideration and their follow-up, about the work on the Agency's processes' digitalization and the problems, faced by investors in interacting with government agencies and state-owned enterprises.

    The parties agreed to sign a memorandum of cooperation on investor protection. It is planned to take joint measures to improve the investment climate in the country, including developing regulations and training activities to enhance investor rights protection.
