Some Kazakhstani citizens will be exempted from submitting declarations

Kazakhstan intends to exempt a category of certain citizens from submitting declarations of assets and liabilities, except for persons with assets outside the country. This applies to pensioners, housewives, students, etc., this is about 8 million people.

It is noted that it will not be difficult for the state authorities to track the income of these citizens as needed. The country is actively developing digitalization, the databases of almost all state bodies have been automated, and the share of non-cash payments has reached 86%.

“Declaration is proposed to be retained for citizens with assets outside Kazakhstan, as well as for those who made purchases worth more than 20 thousand monthly figures or 74 million tenge during the year and received income taxed independently”, - said the Minister of Finance of the Republic Madi Takiev.
