12/04/2024, 17:58Today, December 4, at the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh considered amendments to the constitutional law “On the Chamber of Accounts of the Kyrgyz Republic”, during the discussion of which MP Kunduzbek Sulaimanov proposed to give the right to state auditors to carry out inspections of professional associations.
In turn, Toraga Nurlanbek Shakiev, recalling that inspections should also have their limits, emphasized that the Accounting Chamber has no right to interfere in the activities of private institutions.
“The Chamber of Accounts cannot be given the right to inspect private enterprises. Its function is to control only the spending of budget funds in accordance with the law. Excessive inspections should not be allowed. The Chamber of Accounts should not even be given instructions of such a plan to temporarily check or examine private enterprises,” he said.
In particular, Toraga, saying that there are other state bodies authorized to check private institutions, gave the example of the tax service.
