The lion's share of this amount was provided by receipts from fines - more than 1.7 billion KGS. More than 686 million KGS came from fines for violations recorded by the ‘Safe City’ system, plus another 15 million KGS - penalties on these fines.
In addition to fines, control and supervisory activities brought in 226 million KGS. Care for the environment was also reflected in budget revenues: payment for compensation of environmental damage totalled 37 million KGS. Additional funds were received from the sale of confiscated, ownerless and escheated property (4.9 million KGS) and compensation for damage caused to public roads (43 million KGS).
"The fight against corruption brought 100 thousand KGS in the form of compensation for damages in relevant criminal cases. The State Tax Service supplemented the budget with fines totalling 1.1 million KGS and penalties totalling 1.2 million KGS. Proceeds from the sale of contraband turned out to be insignificant, totalling only 2,314 KGS,' the Ministry of Finance noted.
