09/19/2024, 14:53At the second Yntymak Week, held in Osh and Bishkek, the head of the International Business Council (IBC) Askar Sydykov reported that the supply of green technologies to Kyrgyzstan is exempt from certain tax and non-tax (customs) payments.
He also noted that manufacturers and importers who independently recycle waste are exempted from paying recycling fees, which stimulates the introduction of environmental practices in the country.
IBC has previously analyzed legislation in the subsoil use, tourism and agriculture and proposed recommendations to the relevant government agencies. As a result, significant progress has been made in promoting green incentives.
Askar Sydykov also announced the intention to create the Central Asian platform to promote green incentives, bringing together experts from Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. The platform will become a key tool for the development of green economy in the region. The meeting participants discussed plans for further development of the platform and proposed to hold a series of regional events to discuss the implementation of green solutions and ESG-standards.
