New banks have contributed 30 million KGS to the deposit insurance fund

The Kyrgyzstan Deposit Insurance Fund continues to grow. The system received an additional 30 million KGS from just three new participants—10 million KGS from each bank.

This money was contributed as a mandatory initial payment, which amounts to 1% of the minimum statutory capital requirement. The payments were received from Bereket Bank, Alma Finance Bank, and Asman Bank.

Against the backdrop of these inflows and regular contributions from banks, the total volume of the fund reached 10.4 billion KGS by the end of the first quarter of 2026. Over three months, it increased by 7.2%, or 700.4 million KGS. Membership contributions accounted for the bulk of the growth—416.4 million KGS. The fund earned an additional 284 million KGS from investment income.

Thus, the inflow of funds, including contributions from new banks, continues to strengthen the financial cushion of the deposit protection system.
