Between 2023 and 2025, the number of tourists in the organised sector rose from 1.8 million to 3.5 million – an increase of almost 98%. Over the same period, the unorganised segment grew from 1.05 million to 1.7 million, representing an increase of around 64%.
Long-term trends paint a similar picture. Since 2010, organised tourism has grown almost tenfold, whilst the unorganised segment has grown approximately 7.6-fold. Although the gap between them was relatively small at the outset, by 2025 it had doubled.
Against the backdrop of overall growth in tourist numbers to 5.3 million, the role of tour operators and official infrastructure is increasing. This points to structural changes in the industry and a gradual shift of tourists towards the organised segment.
