The serology department of the Naryn zonal veterinary laboratory under the state institution Centre for Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise was the first of the regional laboratories to be accredited by the Kyrgyz Accreditation Centre and received a certificate of compliance with international standards.

In particular, the relevant documents for accreditation of serological departments of Naryn, Talas, Karakol, Balykchy and Batken zonal veterinary laboratories of the Centre's representative office for the southern region to the international standard were prepared, and an assessment by an expert group of the accreditation body was carried out.

As a result, the serological department of the Naryn zonal veterinary laboratory was granted an accreditation certificate. And the rest of the laboratory departments that were evaluated by the expert group of the Kyrgyz Accreditation Centre will receive a certificate in January 2025.

It is planned to accredit other laboratories in 2025. Also this year, applications will be submitted for accreditation of chemical toxicology and WSE departments of the following laboratories for qualitative determination of antibiotics in meat and milk. These are chemical toxicology and WSE departments of Naryn, Talas, Karakol, Jalal-Abad and Batken zonal veterinary laboratories.
