10/08/2024, 14:58The enterprise “Agroproduct Asia”, located in Sokuluk district, has become the first in Kyrgyzstan to freeze fresh fruit and is actively developing export activities. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Bakyt Torobaev visited the enterprise as part of a field meeting and familiarized himself with its activities and problems.
The company has powerful warehouses for 7,000 tons and automated lines for washing, sorting and packing produce. More than 90% of the products, including apples, grapes, peaches, and vegetables, are exported to major retail chains in Russia, such as Magnit, Pyaterochka, and Lenta. Over the past 3 years, Agroproduct Asia has exported more than 8,000 tons of products.
To expand its raw material base, the company has planted 100 hectares of intensive apple orchards consisting of 5 varieties of apples. At the meeting, several decisions were made to secure the domestic market and expand exports to China and other neighboring countries.
