Passports manufactured by OAO Uchkun have begun to be exported to South Africa

Today, 10 June, a delegation from Namibia arrived in Bishkek and held a meeting on the conclusion of a second contract for the production of passports. This was announced by the President's Chief of Staff, Kanybek Tumanbaev.

Earlier, the first contract for the supply of 130,000 biometric passports was signed between the open joint-stock company Uchkun, which is under the jurisdiction of the Presidential Administration, and Namibia. The finished products were successfully shipped. The Namibian side highly appreciated the quality of the manufactured documents and expressed its gratitude.

Kanybek Tumanbaev also noted that this major achievement is clear proof that, thanks to Sadyr Zhaparov's initiative, state-owned enterprises are developing and the country's printing industry is reaching international standards.

Incidentally, Kyrgyzstan used to manufacture its biometric passports abroad, at factories in other countries. Today, however, Kyrgyzstan exports high-quality documents produced domestically, becoming a competitive country.
