On behalf of the president, 36 new schools will be built in Kyrgyzstan in 2026

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliyev announced that, on the instructions of Sadyr Zhaparov, 36 new schools will be built in the republic in 2026. According to him, human capital development remains a key area of state policy.

In the field of preschool education, Kasymaliyev noted that in 2025, kindergarten coverage reached 44.3%, which is twice the 2020 figure. The number of pupils exceeded 257,000. By 2030, it is planned to increase coverage to 80%, opening at least 200 kindergartens annually.

In school education, systematic work continues to remove infrastructure constraints related to demographic growth and migration.

"In 2026, it is planned to build 20 new schools in Bishkek, 10 in Osh, and 6 in the city of Manas. Emergency schools will be completely renovated and updated. At the same time, the reform of the transition to 12-year education, the digitization of the education system, and the updating of curricula are continuing. All textbooks will be available in the electronic library. For the first time, the state has allocated about 1 billion soms for the publication of textbooks within the country. This has made it possible to strengthen domestic production and reduce dependence on external suppliers. The president's order to provide every teacher with a laptop is being implemented. Primary and secondary vocational education is receiving an additional boost as part of the 12-year Altyn Kazyk program," the head of the cabinet emphasized.

Speaking about higher education, Kasymaliyev noted the strengthening of the material and technical base of universities and the growth of their international status. Within the framework of the El Umutu scholarship program, 87.8 million KGS have been allocated for the education of talented young people abroad.

The head of the Cabinet of Ministers separately focused on healthcare, calling it the main priority of social policy.

"In 2024, 36.3 billion KGS will be allocated to the industry from the state budget. Five large medical facilities have been built, the availability of medical services in the regions has been expanded, and institutions have been provided with ambulances. Currently, 39 medical buildings are under construction, 27 facilities have been completed, and the construction of new perinatal centers has begun. Modern medical equipment has been purchased, including ultrasound machines for the regions. Over the past two years, 45 kidney transplant operations have been performed at the expense of the budget," added Adylbek Kasymaliyev.

In the future, there are plans to build a “medical town” and create a modern medical hub. According to the head of the cabinet, the measures being implemented are aimed at strengthening social stability, creating jobs, and improving the quality of life of the population.
