Nearly 400 million soms for a fence: Bishkek prepares for the SCO summit and the World Nomad Games

Bishkek plans to spend 391,620,000 soms on the construction of a louvred fence — the work is timed to coincide with the SCO summit and the World Nomad Games.

The Capital Construction Department of Bishkek City Council has announced a tender for the installation of a fence along Fuchika Street — from Ryskulov Street to the village of Dostuk.

The project is estimated at 391.6 million soms. The contractor must complete the work by 30 August 2026. Tenders are being accepted until 14 April.

According to the technical documentation, the work is on a large scale: site preparation, earthworks, laying of foundations, manufacture and installation of metal structures, as well as the installation of the louvre panels themselves.

The project is directly linked to preparations for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation and the World Nomad Games.
